Personal Connections:
Gala Salazar
Some personal connections that we share with this book is that we also judge someone or start talking about them as soon as we see them or we start assuming things by the way they act, even if we have never talked to them before. Just like Jamie that she’s really into church and god because her parents are as well a lot of people now a day’s make fun of others being like that. That isn’t right and that should be something that we shouldn’t do. We can be so judgmental without knowing that person and when we actually start talking to them we realize who they really are and not what we think. That’s what a lot of people especially teenagers in high school do. It’s crazy at times but when you start realizing how those people really are your whole perspective about them changes.

A personal connection I have is the loss of someone because of cancer. I once lost my aunt to cancer and her husband was devastated. This happened about 4 years ago and he still isn't over it. So i know why Landon still reflects on his good days with Jamie while she was still alive and not has sick.

I can relate to "A Walk to Remember" in numerous different manners. In the beginning Landon judges Jamie simply on her appearance and the opinions of others. In the end of the novel it is obvious that Landon's perspective over Jamie was incorrect because he falls in love with her. I can connect to this because I too have judged someone based on simply their appearance. Although I didn't fall in love with them as Landon did to Jamie, they turned out to be one of my closest friends, proving that judgments shouldn't be based on the outside yet the inside of a person.
